Privacy Policy

BiasHairStyle ("the app," "we," "us") lets you try on hairstyles using AI-generated image results. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

Information We Collect

• Photos you provide. A selfie (or a photo you take/upload) and any hairstyle reference photos you upload, so we can generate a result for you.
• A device/account identifier. To keep your diamond balance and subscription in sync across your devices and reinstalls, the app uses a stable identifier derived from your iCloud account (if you're signed into iCloud) or, if iCloud isn't available, a random identifier stored in your device's Keychain. This is not your Apple ID, name, or email — it's an opaque value we use only to look up your balance.
• Purchase confirmation. When you subscribe, Apple provides us a signed transaction record confirming the purchase, so we can credit your account. We never see your payment card, billing address, or other payment details — that's handled entirely by Apple.

We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, or phone number.

How We Use This Information

• To generate the hairstyle-swap image you requested.
• To track and enforce your diamond balance and subscription entitlement.
• To detect and prevent abuse of the diamond/subscription system.

We do not use your photos for advertising, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

Third-Party Services

• Google (Gemini API). Your selfie and hairstyle reference photo are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate the result image. Before this happens for the first time, the app shows an explicit consent screen naming Google's Gemini AI and requires you to tap "I Agree & Continue" before any photo is sent. Google processes this data under practices that provide protections comparable to this policy — see Google's Privacy Policy for details.
• Apple. Purchases, subscriptions, and (if enabled) the iCloud-based identifier described above are handled by Apple's systems.
• Railway. Our backend infrastructure is hosted with Railway, which processes requests on our behalf.

Data Retention

Photos you submit are processed to generate your result and are not stored on our servers afterward. Results you choose to save are stored locally on your device, and in your Photos library if you tap Save — we don't have access to those.

Your account identifier and diamond balance are retained so your balance persists across devices and reinstalls, until you request deletion (see below) or your account has been inactive long enough that we remove it as part of routine data cleanup.

Your Choices

• You can revoke camera or photo library access at any time in iOS Settings, though the app needs at least one of these to function.
• You can request deletion of your diamond-balance record and identifier by contacting us (below). This does not affect any subscription managed through your Apple ID, which you control directly in your device's Subscription settings.

Children's Privacy

BiasHairStyle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
